We are a small animal only practice that was established 50 years ago. Our focus is providing services to dog and cat owners. We run by appointments so if you need to see a veterinarian please telephone the clinic and one of our friendly staff will assist. We have a pragmatic approach to veterinary medicine and aim to provide the most appropriate diagnostics and treatment to your pet. To put simply, we approach our diagnostic and treatment plans as if we were treating our own pets and follow the KISS principle.<\/p>\n
Dr. Metcalfe graduated from Murdoch University in 1990 with first class Honours.\u00a0 He gained membership to the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 1995 in small animal medicine. In 2000 he was awarded an MSc from Monash University for his thesis titled “Assisted Reproduction in the Bitch”. The research focused on canine embryology and ovarian development in the bitch. He has published and presented papers internationally. Dr Metcalfe started work at Applecross Veterinary Hospital in 1990 and owned the practice for 25 years. He currently lives with his family, a toy poodle and a Russian blue cat.<\/p>\n

She started with Applecross Veterinary Hospital in 2015 when she was still a student, and has owned the practice since 2025. When not at work or spending time with her two Labradors, she enjoys bouldering, baking and is your typical Singaporean “foodie”.<\/p>\n Dr. Wong has joined Applecross Vet as a new graduate in 2025. She graduated from Murdoch University in 2024.<\/p>\n Dr. Tan joined the Applecross Vet team as a new graduate in 2026.
